Loopy Lou

Loopy Lou: The clear gesture of a child innocently skipping.

The gentle yet authoritative arm gestures, together with the swing of the skipping rope, drive a subtle combination of circular shapes, loops, twisting through metal curves and blue leds, creating a sculpture that miraculously comes to life from all directions. Just a few moving dots, creating the child, the rope, the moment, the mood… Inviting us to join in, to skip too, as our mirror neurons will incite us to do so or even further, to mime the gesture, to find ourselves in this same state of mind as the child:

”Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play.”
